Modeling with Marzipan

I surprised the girls up with some sweet tasting almond Marzipan for handwork today. We have been practicing working with clay,  modeling with just our hands, careful not to use the table, and keeping our hands in close proximity to our hearts and our elbows resting next to our chest. 

It takes deep concentration and it is fun to do. It was a very cold day today, so we had to warm up the almond dough in the palms of our hands.  It delighted our senses with its smell, taste and texture. Nibble and shape, nibble and shape, nibble and shape...until we eventually formed the shape of a heart.

 So next time you are at the grocery store, pick some up, it was under five dollars and worth every penny. New handwork and a snack all in one.
